In addition to our recurring programs and activities,
WCA offers many special events for our members
that are annual, recurring, or one-time events.
These are advertised in our Thursday newsletter and require registration.
Some will be conducted via Zoom.
Otherwise, look for them when we can gather together again!

All events are subject to the COVID protocols on the date of the event.
NO REGISTRATIONS AT THIS TIME.

As of August 31, 2021, all indoor events are on HOLD

until the re-opening committee of the Federation reassesses the COVID situation in our community.

Koffee Klatch Year-Round

Monthly coffees, held in members’ homes, are open to ALL members. Contact Patti Bloom if you would like to host. RSVP per each newsletter announcement; there is no need to email to be part of the group. Koffee Klatch will resume when we can meet again inside in safety.

Ted Talks (Technology, Entertainment and Design Talks)

First and Third Tuesdays Year-Round * 10:00-11:30 a.m. Currently Via Zoom

Ted Talks are short, powerful, diverse videos of presentations in more than 100 languages from conferences around the world. Different topics will be chosen each month. A lively discussion will follow the video presentation. Currently meeting on Zoom. Moderated by WCA member Sonya Bloom.

New Member Coffees - Currently Via Zoom

Monthly coffees are offered in season at members’ homes for newer members to meet other new members and board members. Learn about all WCA has to offer and how to make the most of your membership, including how to maneuver the Thursday newsletter. To sign up during "season" just respond to any of the New Member Coffee announcements in the Thursday newsletter. The announcement reads "New Member Coffees," not to be confused with "Koffee Klatch." Women and Wealth-Understanding Yours

In this three-session class, participants will take the important first steps towards understanding their own personal financial situations. In a comfortable group setting, you will gain insights into your finances and learn: the facts about Financial Assets; how to organize statements and documents; how to get your affairs in order; basics of Wills and Trusts; Investment Terms; how to structure a diversified portfolio; and tips on how to hire a financial advisor. There will be handouts to enable you to work independently to get your finances organized.

INSTRUCTOR: Susan Rabin, CFP Retired (Certified Financial Planner).

Susan was a Sr. Vice President at RBC Wealth Management. Advising clients and managing portfolios was her passion and she continues helping others by educating women about money.

Writing an Ethical Will - Currently Via Zoom

Initial Presentation: Thursday January 20 2022
Workshops: Thursday, February 10; Thursday, March 3, 2022; and Thursday, March 24, 2022 (if needed).

How do you want to be remembered? In your Last Will and Testament, you pass on your material possessions. By writing an Ethical Will, you create something more important: a written communication of your beliefs, what you have learned in your lifetime and expressions of love. You are conveying values, not valuables.
